Transforming data into actionable insights is crucial for building resilient and sustainable water, energy, food, and environmental systems. However, the accelerating impacts of climate change are reshaping the dynamics of WEFE systems, intensifying resource interdependencies, and challenging conventional resource planning approaches. To navigate this complexity, decision-makers increasingly need integrated modeling frameworks that reflect cross-sectoral linkages and support data-driven decisions and policy formulation. This session will explore how cutting-edge technologies—such as earth observation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and integrated modeling—are being leveraged to monitor, predict, and manage WEFE systems for a water and food secure world under a changing climate. It aims to unite researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working to operationalize nexus thinking through quantitative tools and cross-sectoral collaboration for a sustainable agri-food system.
